Hello! My name is Katie Powell. I am your child's Kindergarten teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. I am so excited to meet everyone!
This will be my 13th year teaching, but my first year at Landmark Academy. Our class room will be full of fun, excitement, growth and so much more! My goal is to foster a love for learning for your child.
I have been married to my husband, Ryan, for 13 years. He is a first grade teacher. We have two little boys, Easton (8) and August (5).
Education:
I went to Northwest Nazarene University where I studied English and Professional Writing. My teaching career started when I taught Kindergarten in South Korea for two years. After that I moved to Colorado and began teaching in the public school setting where I studied and became endorsed in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education.

We have a supply drop-off scheduled for Monday, August 8th, from 4-6pm. During this time you will be able to drop your students supplies in their classroom and meet me in person. School starts on Wednesday, August 10th.
