Hello Families!
What a fun week it has been!
We started the week with our field trip to Anderson Farms. It was a successful blast! Thank you to everyone! Your kids are amazing people!
We do have a field trip to the Museum of Nature and Science coming up on November 14. I will need to have chaperones and permission slips by November 4th.
Moral Focus: We are wrapping up our unit on respect. Continue to talk with your child about what respect looks like at home and at school.
Reading: We are identifying the setting in a story. A setting is where and when. You can continue this at home when you are reading books with your child.
Phonics: This week we worked on the letter Ee. We talked about how Ee has two sounds-short "e" and long "e".
Math: When have been working on determining how many it takes to make it to 10 from numbers 1-10. For example: starting at 3, how many until you get to 10? 7
Social Studies: We are continuing talk about what makes a community. We are talking about our class community, school community, neighborhood community and even extending that out into the world. We are also talking about how our differences make us unique; our differences make us special.
Here are our current sight words that you can continue to work on at home: a, see, can, the, like, I, go. to, am, on, play, it, is, this. big, little.
We do have our Fall party on Monday. I wish I could allow everyone one of you to attend, but unfortunately that isn't allowed. Thank you to those who have contributed to the party and volunteered. I am SO excited to see costumes on Monday.
